Interview: yoga teacher Clara

You in 10 descriptive words?
Yoga teacher, Toronto-living girl, yoga in beautiful places, world traveler, cookie dough lover, fitness enthusiast, guatemalan born, grateful, breakfast for dinner, wanderer.

What is that "special touch" that makes your work unique?
Yoga makes me happy! I think it’s fun, challenging and a way to love and learn more about yourself. It has helped me commit to be healthier, better and stronger and I want to share this joy with everyone around me. With the pictures and quotes of my Instagram account I hope to inspire you to take yoga from the mat to your everyday life.

Who or what inspired you to do what you’re doing now?
Last year I moved to Toronto, the first weeks I spent my time walking around the city finding beautiful places and taking yoga pictures because I was excited to start my teacher training that month. After my teacher training I had all this pictures and the desire to share all that I learned, so I started my Instagram account. I love how it’s been a way for me to explore amazing places, meet beautiful people and share my happy positive journey along the way.

What’s the best advice you ever received?
Stop thinking about the past, stop worrying about the future, feel, embrace and enjoy the present moment because here in this moment everything is perfect.

Exclusive tip for Yoga Mamondo readers?
There’s more to Yoga than the perfect pose; it’s all about self-love, it’s about getting your life together, it’s about being healthier, better and stronger and never settling or letting your comfort zone kick in.
